PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hands-free type speech device by which a speech using a portable telephone set or the like is attained through the use of optical communication, hands-free, where reply to an incoming call and a speech is interrupted by the operation of a handset or the like placed close to the ear, and a destination telephone number registered in the portable telephone set or the like is displayed through an external operation. SOLUTION: This speech device is provided with a speech means 30, consisting of a voice output section 31 and a voice input section 32, an interface section 1 connected to a control signal terminal or the like of a portable telephone terminal 2 to communicate a control signal or the like, a machine side signal processing means 10 for converting a voice signal into an optical signal and to send the optical signal and to covert the received optical signal into a voice signal, and a speech means side signal processing means 20 that converts the optical signal received from the machine side signal processing means 10 into a voice signal and coverts the voice signal received from the speech means 30 into an optical signal to send the optical signal, and the machine side signal processing means 10 and the speech means side signal processing means 20 are communicated by light. |
