PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce distortion of an optical output waveform outputted from a laser diode by distributing the output signal of a current amplifier to the laser diode and a laser diode driver by an optional ratio. SOLUTION: Differential data is inputted to the laser diode driver 2 through a data input terminal 1a and 1b. The driver 2 pulse-drives the laser diode 3a and outputs pulse light from the diode 3a. A current amplifier 7 amplifies a differential current between the output signal of a smoothing capacitor 5 and that of a reference current source 6. A current source 8b of an optional ratio distributing type distributes the output signal of the amplifier 7 to a DC current Ib to the diode 3a and to a modulated current Imod to the driver 2 at the optional ratio to output. The oscillation delay of the diode 3a is reduced to reduce the distortion of the optical output waveform. |
