<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ignition coil device for internal combustion engine, the reliability of which can be prevented from being deteriorated even when thermal stresses occur. SOLUTION: An ignition coil device for internal combustion engine is provided with a case 5, a core 6 housed in the case 5, a primary coil 8, which is provided around the core 6 and in which a primary current flows through a primary winding 13 wound around a bottomed cylindrical primary bobbin 1, a secondary coil 9 which is provided around the primary coil 8 and generates a high voltage when the primary current is cut off, a plugging body 21 which is provided to the opening of the primary bobbin 12 to plug the opening, and an insulating material 11 which is provided in the case 5, fixes the primary and secondary coils 8 and 9 in the case 5, and is composed of a thermosetting resin. The plugging body 21 blocks the insulating material flowing in the space between the core 6 and primary bobbin 12, when the case 5 is filled up with the material 11 before the material 11 is thermally cured.</p> |
