<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer faxed picture information to a computer terminal connected through a LAN(local area network) without compatibility with the side of an opposed station. SOLUTION: One address of network addresses assigned to each computer terminal connected to a LAN corresponding to the station identifying codes of plural opposed stations in advance is previously registered. Then, at the time of a station identifying code reported from an opposed station by a facsimile communication protocol at the time of an incoming call, whether a network address corresponding to this station identifying code is registered is retrieved. Then, when it is registered, picture information received from the opposed station is converted to a LAN communication corresponding form and then transferred to the computer terminal of the pertinent network address.</p> |
