<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weaken the progress of corrosion in the gap of thin wires and to prevent the disconnection of all the input terminals even when thin wires at both ends are corroded to cause discontinuity by forming the input terminal of plural thin wires separated from a leading wire. SOLUTION: The input end 47 integrated with the leading wire 27 led out of the inside of this display device is constituted of plural comb-teeth shaped thin wires branched from the main wire of the leading wire 27. Moisture infiltrates from a boundary between an input end contact film 29 and a flattening insulating film 18 at the thin wire parts at both ends of the input end 47 and reaches the input end thin wire 47. Then, cell reaction occurs between the A1 of the input end thin wire 47 and the ITO of the input end contact film 29, and the melting corrosion of the A1 begins along the periphery of a contact hole. If such melting corrosion begins once, it progresses comparatively fast and reaches the end of the input end thin wire 47 but is stopped when it reaches the gap of the input end thin wire 47. Therefore, a situation that the moisture advances further and reaches the neighboring input terminal and the melting corrosion begins again is prevented.</p> |
