摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fluctuation in the aperture ratio of a display in spite of the alignment of an array substrate and a counter substrate of a liquid crystal display device which is light in weight and low in electric power, to prevent the luminance unevenness of the display region and to improve a display grade. SOLUTION: Picture frame-like mask inner peripheries 51a are confined within dummy scanning lines 33a and dummy signal lines 34a in spite of the alignment of the array substrate and the counter substrate by providing the outer peripheries of the display region [A] of the array substrate with dummy pixels 38a, by which the fluctuation in the aperture ratio of the display region [A] is prevented, the luminance unevenness occurring at the peripheral edges of the display region [A] is prevented and the display grade is improved. Even if the mask inner peripheries 51a deviate onto dummy pixel electrodes 37a as a result of large misalignment, the dummy pixels 38a are subjected to the same driving as the driving of the pixels 38 at the peripheral edges of the display region [A], by which the visual observation of the deviation on a display screen is prevented and the display grade is improved.</p>
