PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize functions of saving energy and lowering poises in an air cleaner provided on the ceiling or the like of a clean room. SOLUTION: This air cleaner is provided with an impeller, a turbo fan having a motor 3 for rotating the impeller, a bell mouth 6 to supply air to a suction port of the turbo fan, a filter 5 to purify air blown out of the turbofan and a housing 1 having a pressurization chamber in which the air blown out of the turbo fan is pressurized to be guided to the filter. In this case, the turbo fan is housed into the housing and the motor is fixed while a motor base 4 having an opening part from which the air blown out of the impeller is sent to be supplied to the filter and a louver 7 arranged in proximity to the impeller are provided in the housing. The impeller is provided with vane-shaped blades while the number of the blades is set at four or less. |
