PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure long-term preserving performance of paste containing a hydrogen storage alloy, and improve productivity of an electrode by adding polyethylene imine as a dispersant, preventing adsorption to a hydrogen storage alloy surface of a water soluble high polymer of a thickener when paste is left as it is, and restraining viscosity reduction in the paste. SOLUTION: Molecular weight of polyethylene imine included in paste is desirable to be 500 to 100000 in average molecular weight, and a quantity of the polyethylene imine is desirable to be 0.01 to 5 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of a hydrogen storage alloy. For example, polyvinyl alcohol, methyl cellulose, polyethylene oxide and carboxymethyl cellulose are used as a thickener. For example, a rubber high polymer such as a styrene-butadiene copolymer, natural rubber and a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer and polytetrafluoroethylene may be added in the paste as a binder. Therefore, discharge capacity can be improved. |
