PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver that has provision for diversified broadcast media, without increasing the circuit scale and the cost. SOLUTION: This television receiver 200 has a display device 50 that displays a video signal with a prescribed display format. The television receiver 200 is provided with plural video signal sources 210a-210d, a selection circuit 30 that selects any one of plural video signals outputted from the video signal sources 210a-210d and a DSP 40 that converts a format of a video signal selected by the selection circuit 30 into a prescribed display format according to a program. A video signal outputted from the DSP 40 is fed to the display device 50.
