PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor and a combustion method which can prevent the production and reproduction of noxious matter, for example, dioxin. SOLUTION: This combustor is equipped with a combustion space 1 being heated to 800 deg.C, a heat accumulator 30, and a heater 20 which heats the combustion space 1 to the temperature where the combustion is possible. Furthermore, the combustor is a recombustion furnace, and this combustion method includes a process of executing the combustion at a temperature of 800 deg.C or over, and a process of lowering the temperature to 200 deg.C or under, without being accompanied with the reproduction of noxious matter, in one second or under by letting exhaust gas pass through the heat storage member 30. |
