PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seemingly high-ranking and inexpensive optical recording medium which exhibits a gold color over a long period even if gold is not used in an optical reflecting layer. SOLUTION: An organic dyestuff recording layer 2, the optical reflecting layer 3 constituted of silver or an alloy consisting essentially of silver and a protective layer 4 are successively laminated on a transparent substrate 1. A color tone controlling layer 5 having a light transmittance T(%) of: 0.002 ×(λ-450)<2> +15<T<0.0035 ×(λ-450)<2> +45 against a light beam whose wavelength λ (nm) satisfies 400<λ<=550, and a light transmittance T (%) of: 35<T<80 against a light beam whose wavelength λ (nm) satisfies 550<λ<750 is laminated on the protective layer 4. A light scattering layer 6 having a aventurine like surface is further laminated on the color tone controlling layer 5. |
