PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-resolution electrophotographic photoreceptor which suppresses interference patterns by interference of a laser beam and is free of character thickening and blurring by the reflected light of the laser by incorporating flat org. resin particulates into a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor having the photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate contains the flat org. resin particulates in its photosensitive layer and the electrophotographic photoreceptor having an intermediate layer and the photosensitive layer contains the same in this intermediate layer. The ratio b/a of the major axis (a) and minor axis (b) of the flat org. resin particulates is in a range of 0.5/10 to 5/10 and the major axis (a) thereof is in a range of 0.1 to 5μm. The minor axis (b) thereof is 0.05 to 2.5μm. The weight mixing ratio of the flat org. resin particulates and a binder resin is preferably in a range of the flat org. resin particulates/binder = 1/100 to 50/10. The flat org. resin particulates are org. resin particulates incompatible with the binder and are selected from compds. of silicon resins, MMA resins, polystyrene, acryl resins, etc.
