<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make controllable a traffic signal at the same time when an event occurs by calculating moving change quantity or a locus of a vehicle that travels on a road from an output of a vehicle sensor in accordance with elapsed time and seeking the existence of vehicles that turns to the left and the right and traffic flow at an intersection or an unexpected event such as a traffic accident. SOLUTION: A receiving antenna 25 receives reflected waves from vehicles 15 and 16 in front, a mixer 27 mixes them with a sending signal and a receiver 28 outputs it as a beat frequency. A signal processing part 29 detects the distance from a vehicle sensor 17 to the vehicles in front, speed and azimuth angles from the beat frequency. Here, an event processing part 19 is connected to the sensor 17 and detects change quantity in which a vehicle moves in accordance with elapsed time, the existence of vehicles that turns to the left or the right and traffic flow at an intersection based on performed locus processing or an unexpected event such as a traffic accident from an output of detection data. Further, an output from a processing part 19 is inputted to a traffic signal processing part 21 and a traffic light 13 can be controlled in such a detailed way as the avoidance of a dilemma zone and the correspondence to an unexpected event like a traffic accident.</p> |
