<p>A nail driving apparatus (10) including a handle (12) having a first and second end and a rod member (16) having a first end permanently secured to a second end of the handle (12) and a second end forming a striking surface, where the handle (12) and the rod member (16) are secured together so as to form a longitudinal axis. The apparatus (10) further includes an elongated guide tube (18) having a first end and a second end, where the rod member (16) is slidably disposed within the guide tube (18). The handle (12) further includes a tapered annular ring located about the rod member (16). The annular ring is operative for receiving the first end of the guide tube (18) within the handle (12), and for temporarily securing the guide tube (18) to the handle (12).</p> |
