The invention concerns a method for producing by moulding process an internal combustion engine cylinder head, which consists in casting a metal alloy in a mould containing non-fusible cores (1, 23, 21, 22) corresponding respectively to the recessed parts of the cylinder head such as the oil chamber, the water chamber, the induction or exhaust conduits. The invention is characterised in that said core (1) defining the oil chamber carries at least an element (8; 18) designed to act as valve guide.
