The pivot (40) provided between the wiper strip and yoke has a damping component (42) to damp out rotational movement of the wiper strip (14). The damping component is constructed in one piece with the head (18) of the wiper strip, or may be formed from spring-mounted lobes connected to the head. The head may have two damping components which are installed on side facing away from the lip (20) of the wiper strip. The damping components may be located in the corner areas of the head.
