<p>The invention concerns a device for an emergency call to an assistance centre (2) connected to the telephone network, from a vehicle equipped with an onboard terminal (1) with GPS locating module (8) and connected to electronic sensors of the vehicle functional elements, comprising further a hand-free telephone module (13), door opening sensors for detecting the number of passengers, an impact sensor (17a) for interrupting fuel intake. The invention also concerns a use method which, in particular, includes permanently recording the sound transmitted by the vehicle and, in the event of an impact, sending through the onboard terminal data concerning the vehicle behaviour in the form of a short message (S.M.S.) and by D.T.M.F. coding on the voice communication set up by auto dialling the assistance centre telephone number.</p> |
