<p>A waste water treatment apparatus for cyclic treatment of waste water including digestible organic waste, the apparatus having a receptacle with a first chamber for primary treatment of organic waste matter deposited therein through an inlet, a second chamber connected to the first chamber through a conduit and for secondary treatment of organic waste matter, a discharge filter connected to a discharge outlet of the second chamber and having a filter outlet for discharging filter effluent from the second chamber, wherein a backwash conduit connects a backwash outlet of the discharge filter to the first chamber whereby during a backwashing operation backwashed matter from the discharge filter is delivered into the first chamber for primary treatment therein.</p> |
