METHOD FOR MASS PROLIFERATION OF MAHOGANY TREES BY TISSUE CULTURE
摘要
A method which comprises culturing terminal buds or axillary buds of mahogany trees in a B5 medium containing 3-indolebutyric acid (IBA) and benzylaminopurine (BAP) or a modification thereof to thereby induce the formation of a multiple shoot; transplanting the same into the above-mentioned medium containing IBA and BPA; effecting liquid gyratory culture to thereby efficiently proliferate the multiple shoot; transplanting the shoot thus proliferated into the above-mentioned medium containing IBA and BAP; effecting liquid static culture to thereby efficiently elongate a large amount of shoots; and transplanting the shoots thus elongated into the above-mentioned medium containing IBA to thereby promote the elongation of the shoots and rooting, thus producing a large amount of young plants.
