The user interface (22) has an operating button field with a function button and a pair of control buttons positioned on opposite sides of an axis extending through the function button. The buttons are activated in alternation by the operation of the function button, for execution of respective functions, e.g. access to a memory (20) and modification of the a value held in the memory.
