A method of, and apparatus for, controlling the non- symmetrical conditions of concentric laminates which occur in a direction across the flow path of a stream of laminar flowing material in molds having at least one mold cavity and at least one branching runner, branching in at least two directions. The method includes repositioning the non-symmetrical conditions in the laminar flowing material, developed as it flows within a branching runner, to a desired position in a circumferential direction around the center of the path of the runner while maintaining continuity between laminates from about the center through to the perimeter of the runner. The repositioning including favorable positioning of non-symmetrical conditions within a part forming mold cavity and/or relative to the two way branching of a downstream runner. Favorable positioning may include the direction and degree of rotation including 90 degree repositioning in the circumferential direction. -58-
