The invention relates to a particular wheel bearing, especially for trailer axles, comprising a hub (1) which is rotationally mounted on a stub axle (4) by means of a front and rear antifriction bearing (2, 3). A brake element (brake drum or brake disk) and a wheel can be fastened onto said hub. In addition, the hub which is combined with the antifriction bearings (2, 3) as a component can be slid onto the stub axle (4) and can be pulled off the stub axle (4) by means of an axle nut (7). Said nut can be screwed or unscrewed on a thread (4.1) of the stub axle (4). In order to enable an exact axial positioning of the hub (1) on the stub axle (4) with low production costs and higher precision, the stopping surface (4.6) which determines the axial position of the hub (1) on the stub axle (4) is constructed as a ring shoulder (4, 5), said shoulder being shaped onto the stub axle (4), for the inner ring (3.1) of the rear antifriction bearing (3).
