The invention concerns a system for equipping a trolley for transporting objects with motoring means, comprising means (1) for direct current electric power storage, connected through power supply control means (3) to motoring means (4) associated with at least two wheels (5, 6) of the trolley. The invention is characterised in that the motoring means comprise two series-connected electric motors (7, 8), each associated with one of the corresponding trolley wheels (5, 6) and having each a nominal operating voltage equal to half the nominal output voltage of the electric power storage means (1).
