A package and a package blank for manufacturing this package are provided. The package has a top wall (22, 24), a bottom wall and at least three side walls (14, 16, 20); a top wall and a bottom wall define opposite extremities of the package; at least two substantially planar side walls (16, 20) are subdivided into portions such that they form, together with at least a portion of the top wall, a pivotable lid of the package; the lid portions of these two side walls are provided with tongues (40), and the remaining portions have two layers (16, 50; 20, 50) between which the tongues are interposed; these two layers are connected to one another at an overlapping area (62) thereof distant from their margins such as to form a mechanical stop which limits the movement of the tongues and, therefore, the pivoting range of the lid. <IMAGE>
