The present invention provides a footwear produced using a vulcanizable hot-melt adhesive. The footwear may be suitably manufactured from an assembly of components comprising a leg lining, a leg gum upper, a toe lining, a vamp gum upper, an insole, and an outsole. One or more components of the assembly are held together by a vulcanizable hot-melt adhesive.
