PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning tool for a line-passing fishing rod capable of cleaning the rod in high workability without damaging the rod. SOLUTION: This cleaning tool 100 for a line-passing fishing rod is provided with strings 101 and an impregnation material 102 impregnated in the strings. The strings 101 are a fiber aggregate composed of plural glass fibers which are entangled with each other to form a linearly extended long yarn. The glass fiber has a fiber diameter of 3-20μm or thereabout and the yarn-like bundle 101 is formed by collecting about 50-10,000 glass fibers.
