PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder and a method for chamfering an optical raw material with the number of a process small for chamfering. SOLUTION: A holder 10 is for chamfering an optical raw material for chamfering to grind the edge line of the optical raw material W consisting of an optical material formed in a hexahedral shape to a slant shape. This holder holds plural optical raw material W while arranging in a straight line shape and also exposes chamfered edge line couple L1, L5 chamferably which are two edge lines positioned on the same plane out of the edge line of the optical raw material W and arranged in parallel mutually. |
