PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for brewing whisky having both color and flavor in a relatively short period through such a process that the solute components of blasted or surface-scorched woodchips of white oak are extracted into a distilled spirits followed by addition of minute amounts of a seasoning. SOLUTION: Blasted or surface-scorched woodchips 4 of white oak is immersed in a new pot 2 brewed using barley malt A or a white spirits brewed using barley malt B followed by addition of minute amounts of glutamic acid 5 and then aging the system.
