PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake system that suppresses abnormal sounds for better interior comfortableness and requires less number of components for its easier assembly. SOLUTION: A release rod 50 is integrally fixed at its base to a pole member 40 for restraint on the base movement thereby and is also brought into springy contact at its middle portion with the internal surface of a parking-brake lever 30 for restraint on the middle movement thereby. This arrangement suppresses vibrations of the rod 50 and abnormal sounds resulting from such vibrations while the brake is released or the vehicle is run to thereby improve the interior comfortableness and dispense with a cushioning material to attenuate abnormal sounds. The rod 50 is formed with a flexible portion 51 that forces the pole member 40 swung into the engaging position. This formation dispenses with a pressing spring for applying pressure to the pole member 40 to thus reduce the number of components and improve their assembly. |
