The invention relates to a method for coating surfaces consisting of steel, tinned steel, galvanised steel, zinc-alloy-coated steel or aluminium. A solution or a dispersion of a source of ions of bivalent to tetravalent metals and an organic film former and a solution or a dispersion of a source of phosphate ions and an organic film former are applied to the metal surface in any order, together or one after the other, and dried in, giving a total dry layer thickness of 0.2 to 3 g/m<2>. The invention also relates to metal parts coated using the inventive method. |
