PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a piston. SOLUTION: A piston 1 comprises a cylindrical body 12 having a hollow portion 11 formed therein; an arm 16 extending from an end 11a of the body 12 in an axial direction on a side where a shoe is connected and being connected to the end 11a on the outer peripheral side of the body 12; a shoe holder 17 having an inner surface formed at the end 11a; and first communicating holes 51a (51b) opened in a slot shape. The first communicating holes 51a (51b) are formed on both sides along the profile of the body 12 within the range from the axial center of the body 12 toward a side opposite to the arm 16 beyond the arm 16.
