PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal processing oil composition which inhibits generation of formic acid, etc., and expansion when used as an oil-in-water emulsion. SOLUTION: A base oil chosen from a mineral oil, fats and oils and a synthetic oil is blended with (a) from 0.1 to 5% (based on mass) compound having a mercaptoimidazole group, (b) from 0.1 to 20% (based on mass) polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene polymer, (c) from 2 to 20% (based on mass) fatty acid, (d) from 1 to 10% (based on mass) alkanolamine and (e) from 0.1 to 5% (based on mass) antioxidant. |
