PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubbery-polymer-particle-reinforced styrene resin composition excellent in heat stability. SOLUTION: This composition contains 10-2,000 ppm of 2-methyl-4,6- bis[(octylthio)methyl)]phenol, 100-10,000 ppm of metallic soap and about 0.1-2.0 pts.wt., per pt.wt. metallic soap, organic acid. It is desirable that the metallic soap is barium stearate or calcium stearate and that the organic acid is stearic acid. Thus, it is possible to prevent the problem that the resin is discolored in thermoforming when the metallic soap as the main plasticizer/mold release is used in combination with the heat stabilizer. |
