<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce efficiently an oxygen flow or a gas flow which is enriched with oxygen by a method wherein, in the case where a gas flow containing oxygen or nitrogen is separated by adsorbing nitrogen onto an adsorbent material of zeolite or the like, each bed of the adsorbent is successively treated so as to be applied to a separation cycle containing a feed phase and a purge phase. SOLUTION: A gas flow (air) containing oxygen and nitrogen is brought into contact with an adsorbent in at least one separation zone area, and separated by preferential adsorption of nitrogen with high adsorption force of the adsorbent. In this case, each bed of the adsorbent is treated so as to be applied to a successively separating cycle, and in each separation cycle, a feed phase containing introduction of a gas flow into a separation zone area equipped with passage from a low desorption pressure to a high adsorption pressure, and a purge phase containing desorption of nitrogen adsorbed onto the adsorbent at a low desorption pressure than a high adsorption pressure are executed. Further, at this time, control of a feed temperature of the gas flow and adjustment of an adsorption pressure are performed, and the adjustment of the adsorption pressure is performed by intorducing a variable length dead time into the feed phase.</p> |
