PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pile formed just before a change in a weave design according to the progress of a ground weave from slipping off, in a process for changing over the pile weaving to the ground weaving in a pile loom. SOLUTION: The set tension corresponding to a weaving design is set at the tension corresponding to the pile weaving, and the set tension corresponding to the ground weaving is set at a higher tension than that at the time of pile weaving. Furthermore, the set tension corresponding to the ground weaving is gradually increased toward the set tension for the ground weaving for prescribed period from the changeover from the pile weaving to the ground weaving and set at the set tension for the ground weaving after the passage of a prescribed period in a controller for pile warp tension of a pile loom capable of setting the tension of a pile warp yarn according to the weaving design and regulating the tension of the pile warp yarn according to the set tension thereof. |
