METHOD OF ESTIMATING LEUKOCYTE RESPONSE TO SPECIFIC ANTIGENS

FIELD: clinical immunology. SUBSTANCE: leukocyte response is estimated in its dynamics within 16 to 22 hr range after the beginning of incubation of leukocytes with antigen in plastic test tubes filled with nutrient medium, while sampling the latter from one test tube every 2-3 hr to estimate consumption of glucose. From data obtained, glucose consumption index is calculated as response to antigen at different cell incubation time. This index is ratio of consumption of glucose in presence of antigen to that in reference samples containing no antigen. EFFECT: simplified procedure and increased diagnostic information density. 3 dwg
