FIELD: medical technique, namely production of activators for thermochemical heating pads. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making coil tension spring of wire blank; placing it inside tube of radiation-modified thermal- shrinkage material; selecting tube length more than that of coil tension spring and its diameter more than that of said spring; heating tube with coil tension spring in it until temperature of starting tube material shrinkage and soaking at such temperature until complete close embracing of outer surface of coil spring by tube. EFFECT: increased operation life period, enhanced reliability of heating pad due to preventing its self-initiation.
