PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device which lowers the speed of rotation of a third roller on the occasion of its movement from a second roller to a first roller. SOLUTION: While a third roller 5 is provided between a first roller 3 and a second roller 4, a brake ring 15 is provided on the third roller 5 and a brake pad 18 is provided so that it comes into contact with the brake ring 15. The length of a contact surface 19 of the brake pad 18 with the brake ring 15 is made smaller than the length of a trajectory 17 connecting a first point 20 of intersection where the outer circumference of the brake ring 15 intersects the trajectory 17 when the third roller 5 comes into contact with the first roller 3 and a second point of intersection 21 where the outer circumference of the brake ring 15 intersects the trajectory 17 when the third roller 5 comes into contact with the second roller 4. On the other hand, the brake pad 18 is supported by an elastic body so that the brake pad 18 be pressed against the brake ring 15 with a prescribed load. |
