PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flatten surface which is a polishing work surface of a workpiece of a collapsed polishing cloth, by sliding a diamond coupling wheel rotated in a horizontal direction, on a surface of the polishing cloth rotated in a horizontal direction. SOLUTION: A polishing plate 1 has an extension mounting surface of a polishing cloth P serving as a polishing material for polishing work of a workpiece in an upper surface. A diamond coupling wheel 7 is mounted in a lower surface of a polishing dresser mounting base 5 able to rotate. By polishing work of the workpiece, the rotated diamond coupling wheel 7 is slid in a surface of the polishing cloth P collapsing a surface which is a polishing work surface of the workpiece, dressing of the polishing cloth P and flattening are performed. |
