METHOD FOR WASHING COPPER ELECTROLYTE USING SOLVENT EXTRACTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve current efficiency and to remarkably decrease the consumption of the electricity, etc., by selectively recovering Ni and Cu by electrolytic collection with a high concn. of an electrolyte. SOLUTION: A solvent extraction liquid is mixed with the copper electrolyte and the Cu and Ni is solvent extracted at an acid concn. of pH 4 to 7 and thereafter the solvent extraction liquid and a first aq. soln. are mixed. The Ni is then reverse extracted in such a manner that the acid concn. of the first aq. soln. after the reverse extraction attains pH 4 to 6. The solvent extraction liquid and a second aq. soln. are then mixed and the Cu is reverse extracted in such a manner that the acid concn. of the second aq. soln. after the reverse extraction attains pH <=1.
