PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new protein, comprising an antigenic protein, recognized with an antiserum derived from Candida albicans infection-resistant mammals and useful for the prevention, treatment and diagnosis or the like of infectious diseases with fungi or allergic diseases. SOLUTION: This new antigenic protein is composed of a polypeptide, having an amino acid sequence represented by formula I or the like, a polypeptide, having an amino acid sequence in which one or plural amino acids are deleted, substituted, inserted or added in the amino acid sequence represented by formula I or the like, a polypeptide, encoded with a nucleic acid having a base sequence represented by formula II or the like or a polypeptide or the like, having a base sequence in which one or plural bases are deleted, substituted, inserted or added in the base sequence represented by formula II or the like and recognized with an antiserum derived from Candida albicans infection-resistant mammals. The protein is useful for the prevention, treatment, diagnosis or the like of fungal infectious diseases or allergic diseases. The protein is obtained by search for and expression of a cDNA library of the Candida albicans. |
