FIELD: gas drying methods. SUBSTANCE: method consists in introduction in base of vertically extended contact and fractional distillation zone of flow of gas to be dried. Ascending flow of wet gas is brought in contact in countercurrent with descending flow of liquid containing water and water-soluble organic solvent. Then flow of liquid enriched with water and depleted with organic solvent is discharged from base of contact and fractional distillation zone. Flow of dried gas enriched with vapors of organic solvent is discharged from upper portion of contact and fractional distillation zone. Flow of dried gas is cooled down for condensation of liquid phase and separation of liquid phase from dried gas. Condensed phase is again fed to upper portion of contact zone for forming at least part of descending flow. Flow of liquid is added which containing water and organic solvent in the amount equal to at least losses of organic solvent during discharge of dried gas flows and liquid from base into intermediate zone dividing the contact and fractional distillation zone into first contact and fractional distillation zone located in lower portion of contact zone between wet gas flow introducing zone and intermediate zone and second contact and fractional distillation zone located in upper portion of contact and fractional distillation zone between intermediate zone and zone of repeated supply of condensed liquid phase.
