FIELD: air-fuel mixture ignition in carburetor engine. SUBSTANCE: spark plug has side electrode made of material with transformation induced plasticity deforming under the effect of temperature. At low temperatures, clearance between side and central electrodes is minimal which ensures reliable cold starting. Upon engine starting clearance is enlarged due to heating and deformation of side electrode ensuring stable ignition and, consequently, stable operation of engine at no load. EFFECT: improved reliability and service life of spark plug. 4 dwg
