FIELD: non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, more particularly recovery of substances by sorption materials and removal of chromium from industrial and domestic flows. SUBSTANCE: to carry out method during purification of sewage; absorbent and reducing agent are bean seeds, and removal of chromium (VI) from solution is carried out at pH of 7. Being chromium (VI) reducing agent, bean skin absorbs predominantly chromium (VI), whereas bean cotyledons absorb chromium (III). Method makes it possible to remove rapidly and effectively chromium (VI) from industrial and domestic flows by using cheap agricultural products.
