PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an superior image durability by furnishing separably a protection laminated layer having a protection layer consisting mainly of solvent- insoluble organic fine particles and binder resin and an adhesive laminated from a base material sheet side in this order on at least a part of one surface of the base material sheet. SOLUTION: A protection layer 3 is provided separably on one surface of a base material sheet 2 in a thermal transfer sheet 1. The protection laminated body 3 is a laminated body having a protection layer 4 and adhesive layer laminated from the base material sheet 2 side in this order. The protection layer 4 consists mainly of solvent-insoluble organic fine particles and binder resin. Suck organic fine particles serve to raise a film cutting property of the protection layer 3 during transfer, and also, avoid being white turbid due to light dispersion, thus impairing no quality of images protected. When the protection layer 3 is transferred in a manner covering images with the thermal transfer sheet 1, the protection layer 4 is allowed to be situated at the uppermost surface, so that solvent resistance, plasticizer resistance, or the like can be given to images. |
