PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a color image using ink jet technology superior in bleeding, resistance to water, gradation recording and character quality. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for ink jet recording for forming a color image by using inks having at least two kinds of concentrations of color agent in an identical color. The method comprises a process (A) for coating a liquid composition including at least a cation substance on a recording medium, a process (B) for coating a dye ink containing dye anion on the recording medium and a process (C) for coating a pigment ink containing at least pigment as a color agent. In an identical color of the inks, a concentration of a color agent in the ink used in the process (C) is lower than that of the ink used in the process (B). The process (A) is applied to the process (B) but not to the process (C). |
