PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of outputting by selecting a luster or a non-luster in accordance with an output content without providing a special means or a complex mechanism. SOLUTION: In an output mechanism 10 using hot-melt ink, a luster or non- luster of a surface is automatically selected in accordance with an output content and a control mechanism 14 controls an ink jet driving mechanism 12 corresponding to the selected result, then a quantity of the ink in a unit area at an output position is varied. The quantity of the ink at the selecting of the non-luster is smaller than a permeation quantity of the ink to an output medium after the fixing and the quantity of the ink at the selecting of the luster is greater than the permeation quantity of the ink. In particular, when the quantity of the ink is varied, an area rate of an output of at least the ink having the varied color is varied and, for example, an area rate of a color of at least the increased ink is decreased along with the increase of the quantity of the ink. The area rates of inks of yellow, magenta and cyan are calculated from a red reflectance, a green reflectance and a blue reflectance of the ink. |
