PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide parts for ornaments excellent in discoloring resistance, corrosion resistance or the like, and ornaments, electronic instruments and watches equipped with the parts. SOLUTION: Exterior parts 1 for watches are ones in which the surface of a base 4 is provided with a substrate 3 composed of at least one layer and a coating layer 9 composed of Pd or a Pd alloy, and on the surface of the coating layer 9, passive film 2 is formed. The passive film 2 can be formed by immersing it into a soln. of bichromate. As the passive film 2, the one in which color difference between the surfaces of the exterior part 1 for watches with and without the presence of the passive film 2 is regulated to <=1.8, particularly <=1.0 is preferable. Furthermore, the one in which the surface of the coating layer 9 is provided with a layer composed of Au or an Au alloy not contg. Ni is more preferable.
