PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and readily determine the enzymes such as protease originating from the cells at a specific site in a tissue or from individual cells in the tissue and promptly obtain the results of pathology inspection of high accuracy. SOLUTION: This relates to a pathological inspection process for determining an enzyme as protease and comprises (1) the process in which a biological sample as a cancer tissue or exudate from gingival sulci is brought into contact with 2-1 hydrophilic polymer thin film as gelatin that contains metal colloid with an average particle size of 0.001-0.5μm and includes no hardening agent; and (2) the process in which the surface change caused by the mutual action between the specimen and the metal colloid is detected, for example, as a change in the hue.
