The invention relates to a positioning device for a rubber-blanket cylinder (1) held in doubly eccentric bearing arrangements (8, 8'), said rubber-blanket cylinder (1) cooperating with a plate cylinder (2) and an impression cylinder (3) of a printing unit of an offset printing press each with location-fixed rotation axes (4 and 5). The positioning device is designed for adapting the printing gap to changing thicknesses of a printing substrate (100). According to the invention, such adaptation is accomplished through displacement of the rubber-blanket cylinder (1) along an adjusting path (15, 15'), said adjusting path (15, 15') comprising a positioning-path section (26) which follows an arc of a circle (16) concentric with the plate cylinder (2). The parameters of the bearing arrangements (8, 8') and of transmission means which adjust said bearing arrangements (8, 8') are determined such that the positioning path (15, 15') is passed through under constant rotation of each inner ring (10) and each outer ring (12) of the bearing arrangements (8, 8').
